My god, tomndebb lives

I met some Dopers for lunch today, and tomndebb showed up. Well, just the tom half. He also had his kids with him, who seemed to find it queer beyond belief that all these grownup strangers thought so highly of their dad.

I think all of us reacted the same way (I can only assume, since I was one of the last to arrive). I gasped, said "THE tom!? Oh my god, what an honor! I can't believe it!" And his kids were like, jesus, are these people on drugs?

He's a normal guy with a wonderful handlebar mustache. Looks he could be a professional plumber. Which made it even better. If he'd showed up with a tweed jacket and two-tone bucks, it wouldn't have been as cool.
