Dear World

There is another computer platform in the world called "Macintosh" or just "Mac." I know Mac users are small in number, but we do exist. In fact, my entire office uses Macs. This is why it's so goddamned annoying when you launch something and fail to indicate anywhere that it's not Mac-compatible.
What's hilarious is that there are offices at my own university who keep launching nonfunctional applications and then act suprised--SURPRISED!--when any of us are a bit chagrined when it doesn't work.
I think I could accept that not everything is Mac-compatible. If you'd just SAY SO before I invest time and effort fruitlessly trying.
And I'd like to send a personal shout-out of the national database whose Java wizard so completely jacked up my safari that even my computer guys can't restore it.
