You wanna see a bunch of people get REALLY RILED UP over something small?

Just put a mitten on your vaguely-hand-shaped state (for tourism purposes) and let Michigan find out about it. Jebus. It's like FRONT PAGE NEWS in the Detroit paper, and my twitter feed nearly blew up yesterday over it.

I am not terribly invested in this, but Michigan has a point when it says that is one weak-ass looking thumb, Wisconsin.

I love this little tiff. Wisconsin is a lot of things, a mitten isn't one of them. But Michigan takes its role as the nation's mitten very seriously it seems. Can't fault it for that.

It's like a mitten for The Elephant Man. I think it's pretty crass of Wisconsin to claim Mitten State Status, especially with Michigan, which looks way more like a mitten, right next door. I mean, really.
