It's The Day To Be Pissed Off
Jun. 11th, 2003 09:08 am* Some numbfuck is painting images of Howard Hughes' head all over Ann Arbor. That's fine, except I'd sincerely appreciate it if they didn't paint them OVER existing murals and works for public art. What are they, nine years old?
* I don't care to learn more about the hometown of any musical act. I don't care about Naponee, Ontario, Burleson, TX, or Raleigh, NC, or anywhere else that is deemed interesting or important solely because some "star" grew up there.
* Bruce Springsteen is so annoying. No, I mean, his rabid fans are annoying, as are those who elevate him to the status of some sort of common-man's jongleur. Related to above, I don't care about Asbury Park, NJ.
* It's cloudy again today.
* The Food Stamp thread in GD is going to send me right over the edge. It's interesting how many people insist that hunger prevention ought to be funded privately rather than from their precious, precious tax dollars. Given the lack of empathy exhibited by some in that thread, looks like the poor would be UTTERLY FUCKED if they had to rely on the voluntary kindness of others for help. I just called somebody a "prying little snit" and probably earned myself a moderator's warning.
* The lollipops in the office candy jar are unsatisfying.
* I'd like an extra $3000 in income a month. Damnit.
