Aug. 17th, 2003 12:04 amI think we must be one of the few households in the area with A/C who are complying with the request not to run it. Of course, this isn't quite voluntary. It stopped working correctly on Wednesday, and they were supposed to come fix it on Thursday but we all know how that day went down. It's still on the fritz.
Being hot is getting old. I took Kirk to a movie today to pass a few cool hours, and put him to bed in the basement tonight.
We are still on a fricking boil-water notice. Ann Arbor proper isn't, but our township is on Detroit Water. I was certain it would be lifted, and this morning used our ice and brushed my teeth without regard, but then I heard on the news today that no, it's still a risk; there might be SEWAGE in the water. Nice. We've got plenty of drinking water, but washing fruit is a pain. I may take our grapes and apples over to a friends' house to get them clean.
