I just spent some godawful amount of time learning how to add a vertical line on an excel chart. I had my excel charts book, and went through the process of adding a data series, reformatting its axes so the line would be in the right place, and then making those axes disappear....and while this doesn't sound all that hard, it was something new for me and it took a while to bang it out and work out the kinks and not mess up the underlying chart.

So, pleased as punch with myself, I showed a co-worker. "Look!" I crowed, "I know how to add a vertical line to a chart!"

She said, "Yeah, you just drew it, right?"

**facepalm**

ARGH! The drawing feature! How could I forget? I could have done this in about 10 seconds.
