My son's team lost their game this morning, the score being something like 0-8. But the kid got four shots on goal, which was exciting. A parent good-naturedly told Coach Joe "Now you see what you're working with" and we all chortled. He does seem like a good coach, though.
We traded in our big four gorgeous boy rats last night (sniffle!) for four wee white and black girls, just two months old and REALLY ENERGETIC. They're very different from the bruisers. Names: Lily, Poppy, Iris, and Buttercup.
Our friend is making his wife-to-be a jewelry box for her wedding gift, and he's been coming here on multiple evenings and weekends to use Mark's tools and get his assistance. Of course, he needs a cover story, so he's told his fiancee that Mark needs his help with some project. She is apparently getting increasingly annoyed with how long it is taking. As weeks go by she in surely convinced that Mark is not only a complete dumbass, but also inconsiderate and demanding. Heh.
Tonight we are going camping at the zoo. I don't quite get the setup, as we haven't done this before. Somewhere they have tents for us, and we'll do some after-hours activities with the education directors before bed. Hopefully no one gets eaten.
