Regarding Holiday music

I'm kinda picky about "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." It's gotta be somber. I can't abide it when the singer sound cheerful. If I don't feel choked up and depressed, it's not done right. I can live with the fact that the revised lyrics make the thing more optimistic, but I want the overall feeling to be glum.
