You know, I decided about two months ago that I was sick of election news. I'm over it. I'm tired of the campaigns, the primary news, the speculation. All of it.

The timing is unfortunate, seeing as at that point I still had almost a year of it to put up with. 11 months and counting, people.

Occasionally our office gets free periodicals. I think they mix us up with some campus office that would have a waiting room. We've gotten some good stuff and some weird stuff over the years. Opera News was an interesting one. Last year was lean, I don't think we got a single issue of anything.

New for 2008: US Magazine. Featuring my favorite piece of idiotic fluff entitled "Stars: They're just like us!" They have captions like "They buy coffee!" and there for our jaw-dropping amazement will be a photo of Ryan Seacrest caught in the workaday act of drinking some java at a Starbucks! OMG!!!

I devour these rags with unabashed relish, despite feeling my IQ creeping downwards with every page. Count on me for all the latest updates on Jamie Lynn's pregnancy, y'all!!
