Argh. not the M&M exercise again
Jan. 22nd, 2008 11:14 amHave any of you ever participated in a teambuilding and/or icebreaking exercise that DIDN'T make you roll your eyes and wish you were somewhere else entirely?
If so, I need to hear about it.
One I actually enjoyed was the instruction to tell a (true) story about something you're wearing. That ended up being really interesting, but I need something less frivolous and less chick-oriented. I also did a very stimulating one that involved ranking a variety of violations in terms of their seriousness, and having to come to consensus, but we just 86ed a version of that. So it's back to the drawing board.

Jan. 22nd, 2008 05:08 pmMy first thought when I heard about Mr. Ledger is that his timing was abysmal. What if they don't have the Oscars this year? NO TRIBUTE VIDEO.
I always feel bad for the people's families when they're not very well-known. They get nothing or a smattering of light applause, and then they put up Ossie Davis' photo and everyone goes nuts clapping. it's like, yeah yeah, your dad died, so what, but THIS GUY! THIS GUY WE'LL MISS!
