Somewhere along the way, we seemed to have attached value on being passionate and loud, regardless of information, accuracy, and education. Just argue long and loud enough, and you'll find plenty of supporters just as ignorant as you are. Don't let facts stand in your way! Forget critical thinking!
Yes, I've been spending time on some other forums. Sometimes I think the internet is awful for giving these sorts of people a voice. On the other hand, it can be a force for actually informing them...if only they'd use it that way.
