The Corn Palace (apparently recently relocated to the Dakotas!) isn't what skeered me to my marrow. It was the doll museum next door that did it.

I am pretty sure that's the place. I was too timid to look at the site for more than a few seconds
Bottom line, I'll take clowns over dolls any day of the week and twice on sundays.
