kz_blogoramblingThe local and regional news have written a lot about the Iraqi girl who is coming to our burn unit to be treated. Well, she's not just coming, she's here. She's surfing the internet and hanging out with the nurses in the burn unit and enjoying a stuffed bear the hospital gave her. She's going to be here a while because her injuries couldn't be treated well in Iraq and it's been a month of improper healing and scarring.
What I didn't know, before today, is that it was one guy, one normal guy like you or me, who set the whole thing in motion. He called the hospital up, out of the blue, and got them to agree to treat her. Then he started to arrange to get her hear. He's just a regular guy. This amazes me, but in a good way.
