The calendar may say Tuesday, but this day is Monday for sure

I got the kid awake, dressed, shod, fed, and winterized, with lunch made and teeth brushed. We drive all the way to school to find the thing closed.

It never occured to me to check the school closings, since I didn't have to scrape my car and the roads were clear.

Another great parenting moment in the Cranky household.

If the roads weren't bad, why was it cancelled?

I'm not sure. I think there were power outages at some schools, so they closed the whole public system down, and our school has a rule that when public close, we close.
