Two thoughts from my new, older self

I wonder how much actually recognizable potato product is in a pringle? It's pretty far from its original form. Yet it's so delicious.

I am a sucker for little hand creams or beauty products in little glass jars with screw-on lids. I have a wee jar of Baby Bee skin creme that I think is half-rancid, but I can't part with it.

Yep, it's clear that the thinking just gets more profound as one ages.

So Carmex only in the little pots, not the tubes?

[identity profile] crankyasanoldma.livejournal.com 2007-08-28 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not a carmex user. I feel like it makes my lips "addicted" to its balmy tingliness and then they can't get by on their own. More so than with other lip balms.

I agree. My lips felt an aching need with Carmex that I just don't get with my standard-issue Chapstick.

And I thought for most of the day that your birthday was TOMORROW.

Which doesn't absolve the fact that I got you exactly NOTHING.

Buy me a glass of wine in September.

Or a new car. Up to you.

Hmm, let me think which one. Hang on...still thinking...

Hee! Happy birthday, Karen. Hope you're handling it with your usual grace and aplomb.

If not, even better!

I'm still older than you, right? I have so few things in life I can be proud of -- I have to focus on the small victories.

I think just barely. Didn't we graduate the same year? I was Class of 1985, height of awesome hair band era.

HA! Class of '84 here!

EAT MY OLD DUST!

Oh, and happy birthday, too. Gotta give the love to a fellow 80s-music aficionado.

Oh, hush, you whippersnapper. (Class of '82.)

Happy birthday, Karen!

Man, I haven't had Pringles in forever. I'm going to have to "pop" a can open!

[identity profile] gundy.livejournal.com 2007-08-28 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Go wash your balls, you dusty old fart.

Happy birthday! I'll have a Popeye's biscuit for you.

Last time I was at my dad's house, he had generic Pringles. They were kind of weird.

[identity profile] scout1222.livejournal.com 2007-08-28 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I think Pringles and Baked Lays are cut from the same cloth. They both have that pounded-to-shit-potato consistency except Pringles are slightly greasier.

Having said that, I love taking a stack of Pringles 1" thick and shoving them into my mouth at once. Not that I do that sort of thing frequently, mind you.

Happy belated birthday! I got you... :: scans desk frantically :: um, this purple highligher! Personalized with a Chiquita banana sticker!

I was traveling yesterday so I missed saying Happy Birthday to you uesterday. So I'll say it now and know that I mean it when I say, "A very, very happy birthday to you my friend." I am very much looking forward to seeing you soon.
