This weekend represents another episode of Selfish Wants vs. Parental Duties.

I do NOT want to go camping with the child this weekend. I cannot summon more than two grains of enthusiasm for it. However, this is not about What Mommy Wants.

They are forecasting rain, however. This might change the equation.

Speaking of things that I want, can I go home yet?

Yeah, we did a campout at the Toledo zoo last summer. Cool idea, but it rained buckets and it SUCKED.

Waking up in a small pond in a tent, and realizing your tent's bottom isn't waterproof, well, that lacked the laughter it would have generated in a TV show. I vowed to always bring my own tent from then on.
