Thank god that shit's over

Well, it took 24 hours, but we have power. No phone, but that's minor.

I was in an accident last night on the way home from work--and miraculously, the guy did no damage to my car or his. He rammed me pretty good (or maybe it just felt that way because I didn't see it coming) but our cars were fine. It was almost otherworldly.

I was at home yesterday, and when they mentioned Ann Arbor was in the dark, I thought of you. I just got to LJ and was going through everyone's stuff, and you hadn't posted, so I figured you were still without power.

Then I'm still cruising through journals, and see you've posted ('cause it's on someone's friends page) and went "Woo hoo!"

Well, most people were being really polite about the intersections, treating all of them with lights like 4-way stops. If course, it was a bit backed up. I was at a full stop when the guy hit me. I think he wasn't paying attention, and also wasn't expecting to have cars at a dead stop on an arterial road with no red light visible.

I was so startled, I screamed. I mean, like a banshee. And my windows were partly down. I scared the bejesus out of some of the people pouring out of the library!! LOL

Sorry to hear about the accident, are you okay? Glad to hear the power is back on. Anne (noyb) didn't have her power or water back as of early this afternoon and she was pretty miserable being that she was supposed to be travelling to Quebec tonite.
