Frontline's special on "The Undertaking" was pretty interesting. I'm a Thomas Lynch fan, anyway, and I thought it was really savvy to profile his family's funeral home business and intersperse the segments with his writings.
I also bawled a lot, but that's where I am right now.

Date: 2007-11-01 07:25 pm (UTC)The funeral of one of my aunts* was at one of their funeral homes back in 2004, IIRC. There were paperbacks of The Undertaking in the waiting room & when I asked if I could buy one, one of his sons gave me a copy. :^)
* Originally written as "one of my aunt's funerals" - which made it sound as if she came back from the dead a couple of times before getting it right.
